Public Knowledge Canada offers integrated services to help scholars
and decision-makers increase the value of their work by maximizing its
conceptual and strategic impact:
1. Securing External Funding
For researchers: identifying funding opportunities; listening and assisting
on project development and applications; building partnerships; providing
strategic advice; a registered lobbyist
2. Making and Maintaining Linkages
For researchers: identifying potential stakeholders in and outside
government; building partnerships; maintaining contacts and periodic
or regular communication.
For policy-makers: identifying new and relevant research and researchers;
maintaining periodic or regular communication (modeled on DFAIT “fast
talk” network); organizing expert and public consultations
3. Research Communications
For researchers: writing and distributing updates, summaries and reports;
identifying opportunities to showcase findings; organizing workshops
for policy-makers and stakeholders
For policy-makers: preparing and distributing policy updates for researchers;
writing summaries and assessments of research trends (literature reviews);
identifying opportunities to showcase in-house policy research; organizing
workshops for researchers and stakeholders.
